Precious Dice

This's a "jeopardy game" in which the dominant decision is whether or not to jeopardize previous gains by rolling for potential greater score. Implemented here in JavaScript, Python, Flask, CSS3, HTML5, PostgreSQL, and SQLAlchemy.

 

Google Search

This is a front-end for Google Search. Implemented using dynamic forms for sending keywords combination to google routes. Advanced search returns pages that meet either all search keywords, exact words/phrases, any of the words, or none of them.

Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Date: July, 2022 - April, 2024. During my time at Palantir Technologies, I worked as infrastructure engineer for our on-premise deployment of the Palantir Foundry Platform, ensuring its continued efficiency and effectiveness. I developed a weather monitoring application for monitoring weather patterns and securing network cell towers. I trained and deployed large language models using Palantir AIP. I led AIP bootcamps for government and commercial clients, providing comprehensive training and support in utilizing Palantir AIP effectively. I served as the technical lead for a Cyber Security Project overseeing all technical aspects of the project to ensure successful implementation and delivery.

Date: January, 2020 - March, 2020. During my time at Branch International (a fintech firm based in Nairobi, Kenya), I worked with Collection team in analyzing daily borrowing rates for our loans and setting criteria for 'good' borrowers. I built dashboards in Sisense for monitoring loan disbursements and repayments in Kenya and Tanzania. I made reports on weekly trends in our dashboards. I used PostgreSQL in performing queries for data visualization. I worked with my manager in evaluating performance of our loan collection agencies.

Software Engineer Intern

Date: June, 2019 - August, 2019. During my time at Twende Carpool, I worked with a team of three in designing and implementing a carpooling web application for booking and offering trips. Travelers can book trips by entering their origins and destinations, and update their public details in settings page of their profiles. Drivers can offer trips by entering their origins, destinations, departure times, and the number of available seats in their cars. Fares are determined by drivers. We implemented the backend authentication logics in Python.

Data Analyst Consultant

Date: June, 2020 - August, 2020. At SHOFCO, I collect Covid-19 response data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports using Google Data Studio. I work with our Urban Network team in modelling and maintaining our database with Salesforce. I Interpret records and provide insights by generating reports using Microsoft Power BI. I am developing a web application for registering new SHOFCO beneficiaries and for updating existimg member details. This application is linked to Salesforce for data storage and only restricted to SHOFCO administrators.
